Catholic school students win Derby Museum art contest

Students who attend Mercy Academy and St. Agnes School won some of the top awards in the Kentucky Derby Museum “Horsing Around with Art” contest.

They are:
Grand prize winner — Hannah Brown-Paul, Mercy Academy.
Triple Crown award winner — Abbey Just, Mercy Academy.
Employees’ Choice winner — Jenna Kessler, Mercy Academy.
Middle school winner — Meg Barker of St. Agnes School won third place.
Sculpture award winner — Meg Barker, St. Agnes.

The winners will be honored at an award ceremony Feb. 9 at the Kentucky Derby Museum and will have their work displayed in the museum.
