Catholic conference gets new associate director

The Catholic Conference of Kentucky (CCK) announced Sept. 24 that Andrew J. Vandiver has been hired as its new associate director. He will help the conference fulfill its mission as the public policy arm of Kentucky’s bishops.

He will support the work of Jason Hall, the new executive director who was promoted in July to succeed Father Patrick Delahanty. Father Delahanty retired.
Vandiver’s work will focus primarily on issues related to education. He will work to advance school-choice legislation and build relationships with other groups interested in improving education in public and private schools.

Vandiver is an attorney who has served clients in business law and litigation and has advised public officials on issues related to religious liberty, the sanctity of life, marriage and family.

He is a member of St. Barbara Church in Erlanger, Ky., and lives with his wife and  two children in Walton, Ky.
