Cathedral to kick off ‘Hail, Full of Grace’ campaign Aug. 18

The Cathedral of the Assumption will kick off its $6 million “Hail, Full of Grace” legacy and vision campaign Aug. 18 during a dinner at the Seelbach Hilton Hotel’s Medallion Ballroom. The event, which requires an invitation, will follow a 5:30 p.m. Mass to celebrate the feast of the Assumption.

The legacy fund will provide long-term support for the ongoing maintenance needs of the historic cathedral while the vision fund will go towards immediate repairs, parish programming and the liturgical life of the parish, according to a press release from the cathedral.

The Cathderal of the Assumption is the oldest inland Catholic cathedral in the U.S. and home to 1,100 families, said the release. For more information on the dinner program or the campaign, contact the cathedral’s office at 582-2971.
