Bill Moyers’ son to speak at St. Catharine College

St. Catharine College in Springfield, Ky., will host author William Cope Moyers at 7 p.m. Sept. 8 in St. Catharine Hall. Moyers is the author of Broken, which according to a news release from the college “is a memoir of Moyers’ redemption and recovery from drug addiction.”

His visit to the college, the release said, will include a community dialogue regarding addiction and rehabilitation. The event is free and open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend.

Moyers is the son of journalist Bill Moyers, who filmed a television interview with Wendell Berry in St. Catharine Hall during the “Resettling of America” conference in 2013.

The college’s Emily W. Hundley Library will also host an exhibit by Louisville artist and photographer Dr. Keith Auerbach on Sept. 18. A color abstract section of the exhibit, called “Anthology of Hope” will be displayed on the mezzanine level of the library, and a second exhibition of Auerbach’s work will hang in the art conference room next to Bettye Brookfield’s classroom.
