Best Buddies of Kentucky to hold fund-raising evening Oct. 11

The Kentucky chapter of Best Buddies, a non-profit organization started nationally in 1999 by the Kennedy family to provide help for children and adults with intellectual developmental difficulties, will hold a fund-raising event Oct. 11 at the Mellwood Arts Center, 1860 Mellwood Ave. The event will feature a murder mystery theme called “The Spy Who Killed Me” and is set in the 1940s.

Volunteer Theda Adkins said food is being provided by Martini’s Italian Bistro and the event will also feature a cash bar, photo booth, magician and silent auction. The mystery portion of the evening will begin at 7 p.m. when “clues” will be made available to those attending. Other sponsors of the event are the BFAB — Beauty for A Benefit organization, and the Omagi Salon and Spa.

Tickets are available by calling Hannah McNally at 426-2213, and corporate tables of eight are still available.
