Assumption High School is one of 12 schools around the nation being honored by Today’s Catholic Teacher magazine.

The local girls’ school won the magazine’s Innovations in Catholic Education Award in the category of “marketing your Catholic school.” The award recognized a music video Assumption created called “It’s All About You.”

The winning schools received several prizes which included a five-pound bar of chocolate from World’s Finest Chocolate; a Kindle Fire from CTB/McGraw-Hill; one-year of high-speed internet service and a laptop computer from Mobile Beacon; and a DVD series called “The Faithful Revolution: Vatican II” from RCL Benzinger.
