Ascension Church will host an electronics drop-off day

Ascension Church, 4600 Lynnbrook Drive, will host an electronics drop-off day to support Catholic Charities from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 8 in the parish parking lot.

Items that can be dropped off for recycling include cables, CD-ROM drives, cellular phones, circuit boards, computer speakers, CPUs, CRT monitors, docking stations, DVD players, fax machines, hard drives, keyboards, laptops, LCD monitors, mainframes, microwaves, modems, PDAs, personal copiers, printers and more.

Unacceptable items include batteries, light bulbs, ballasts and appliances.

All items will be accepted for free except for CRT monitors, LCD monitors, microwaves and televisions. A $5 cash fee will be charged to recycle those items. The event is being sponsored by EWaste, a division of EWSI, which operates under a zero landfill and zero export policy.
