Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz has made the following appointments.
Rev. Robert M. Abel is retiring. He is currently serving as pastor of St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Church in Payneville, Ky., and St. Theresa Church in Rhodelia, Ky.
Rev. David J. Carr has been appointed administrator of St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi and St. Theresa. This appointment coincides with the termination of his appointment as associate pastor of St. Albert the Great Church.
The appointments of Fathers Abel and Carr will be effective April 15.
Rev. Kenneth Soroko, a Father of Mercy, has been appointed pastor of St. Helen Church in Glasgow, Ky.; Our Lady of the Caves Church in Horse Cave, Ky.; Holy Cross Church in Burkesville, Ky.; and Emmanuel Church in Albany, Ky. His appointment will take efffect on April 6.
