The newly formed Social Awareness Discussion Group at Holy Trinity Church held a “Meet Your Legislator Breakfast” June 15 with state Rep. Darryl Owens, pictured at the podium.
In the photo above, Father Steven Henricksen, background left, and parish members listened to Rep. Owens. In the photo below, Rep. Owens listened to William Tafel, left, who asked questions regarding education and crime during the meeting while seminarian Robert Barnell, right, looked on.
The new group plans to hold several events this year to promote involvement in matters of public policy of interest to the Catholic community.
