Black Catholic Congress to be held at Flaget Center

The Office of Multicultural Ministry (OMM) will host the second Archdiocesan Black Catholic Congress on Dec. 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Flaget Center, 1935 Lewiston Drive. The theme of the congress is “Faith Engaged.”

According to a news release from OMM, the event is intended to provide an opportunity “to experience what it means to be a faith-filled church and to embrace the new evangelization from an Africentric perspective.”

Early registration is $40 for adults and $25 for youth in grades four to 12 and is due by Nov. 10.

Late registration after Nov. 10 is $50 for adults and $30 for youth. The cost includes a continental breakfast, lunch, dinner and workshops. Registration will not be accepted after Nov. 19.
