On Dec. 4 the Kosair Charities Children’s Peace Center at Our Lady of Peace Hospital will host a free seminar titled “Treatment of Children and Adolescents’ Mental Health Issues,” as part of Peace for Parents, a free seminar series for parents, teachers and counselors working with school-age children. The seminar will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 7 :30 p.m. at Jewish Hospital Medical Center Northeast, 2401 Terra Crossing Blvd.
Dr. John E. Gallehr, an adolescent and child psychiatrist, will lead the seminar, which will include an interactive discussion on mental health issues and the medications commonly prescribed for behavior and emotional problems. The program will also include a question and answer period.
