St. X swimming and diving team wins state championship, sets records

St. Xavier High School swimming and diving team won the KHSAA state championship Feb. 22 during an event at the Lancaster Aquatics Center in Lexington, Ky.

The team also set a new state record in the 200 medley relay and in the 100 backstroke.

In addition, swimmers Brandon Anderson, Jack Anderson, Will Cole, Charlie Crush, Ethan Highley, Sungmin Kang, Jackson Mussler, Holden Smith and Luke Thomas were named All-Americans.

This is the school’s 32nd consecutive state title.
