Trikes for Tikes provides repaired bicycles for Catholic Charities clients

Catholic Charities has partnered with Trikes for Tikes, an organization based in Crestwood, Ky., that repairs used bicycles to donate to various charities and organizations.

Most of the bicycles donated to Catholic Charities are given to refugee children and adults. According to Christopher Clements, a Catholic Charities worker who helps refugees navigate life in Louisville, having a bicycle for the adult refugees means they have access to another mode of transportation in order to secure a job.

To date Trikes for Tikes has provided about 60 bikes to Catholic Charities and has plans to continue the partnership throughout the summer months.
