Communion minister formation sessions planned in February, March

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Worship will offer the following formation sessions for extraordinary ministers of holy Communion in February and March.

A four-hour Communion Minister Formation program for those preparing to enter this ministry, will be offered Feb. 26 and March 5 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Ignatius Church in White Mills, Ky.

Those who currently serve as Communion ministers, but haven’t taken this course, are also welcome. The sessions include instruction on the theology of the Eucharist, liturgical ministry and the practical aspects of the role of Communion ministers.
