Sister of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Mary Montgomery, formerly Sister Aaron, is celebrating her golden jubilee. Sister Montgomery, a native of Bramble, Ind., entered the congregation on Aug. 30, 1967. She professed final vows on Oct. 15, 1977.
From 1978 and 1983 Sister Montgomery served as a pastoral team member at Cumberland Catholic Church, now Holy Cross Church, in Burkesville, Ky., and at Emmanuel Church in Albany, Ky.
She also served as a pastoral associate and provincial councilor for International Parish Youth Ministries in Brandenburg, Ky., from 1985 to 1991.
Sister Montgomery currently serves as the retreat and spiritual director at Providence Spirituality and Conference Center and Ministry of Care at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods in Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind.
