Christopher Elder, a sophomore at Trinity High School, and his sister Sophia Elder, an eighth-grader at St. Margaret Mary School, took first place at the 2017 Midwestern Sectional Dance Championships Nov. 18 in Colorado.
The duo will move on to compete in the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in January in Kansas City, Kan.
