
St. James Church, located at Bardstown Road and Edenside Avenue, will once again participate in Bardstown Road Aglow Dec. 3 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Phil Hines, the parish’s director of worship and music, has scheduled music throughout the evening. The St. James Singers and the School Youth Choir will give a concert from 6 to 7 p.m.; the Louisville Brass Quintet will be accompanied by the church’s pipe organ from 7 to 8 p.m.; the Louisville Trombone ensemble, comprising 10 trombones, will play from 8 to 8:30 p.m.; and the Bellarmine University Schola Cantorum will present a recital from 8:30 to 9:10 p.m.
Hines and organist Laura Sullivan of St. Albert the Great Church will play Christmas and classical favorites on the pipe organ from 9:10 to 10 p.m.
Students from the parish school will serve as greeters at the church entrance and offer apple cider and cookies. Luminaries, designed by the students, will light the way to the church doors.
