A group, including the women above, prayed the rosary during the Fátima Rosary Rally Oct. 13 at Shawnee Park in the West End to commemorate the 98th anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady of Fátima in Portugal in 1917.

The group prayed for the United States, for guidance for the country’s leaders and for an end to abortion. The event was organized by St. Martin of Tours Church, 639 S. Shelby St., and sponsored by Christ the King and Immaculate Heart of Mary churches.
