DeSales produces book on football titles

DeSalesBook2015-f“Back-To-Back: The Story of the DeSales Colts’ 2013-2014 State Championships” is the title of a new book written by Gilly Simpson.

In the book, Simpson — who is the parent of a DeSales High School student — chronicles the school’s historic first football championship in 2013 and the second win in 2014.

According to a statement from the school, DeSales had not won a state title since 1970 and had never won a football championship.

“The book provides an insightful look back at two magical seasons and is jam-packed with dozens of color photos that give the reader the sensation of being there with the players and coaches every step of the way,” said a statement from the school.

The hardback limited edition book is available for $40 in the school’s bookstore on campus or online at www.desaleshighschool.com/campus-store.
