St. Martha students learn about global church from Rwandan priest

Father Rurendga Narcisse, a priest from the diocese of Byumba in Rwanda, East Africa, visited students at St. Martha School Oct. 4

Father Narcisse shared stories about Our Lady of Kibeho Church, where he is pastor, the people of Rwanda and the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kibeho. During his presentation, Father Narcisse spoke a little in Italian, French and Kinyarwanda, a Rwandan dialect.

The visit and presentation were part of the school’s initiative to help students become familiar with the international church, said teacher Christy Perkins.
