National lay ministry conference planned for June 1-3 in Indianapolis

The 41st annual National Association of Lay Ministry (NALM) conference will take place June 1-3 at the downtown Hyatt Regency Hotel in Indianapolis.

NALM gathers professionals who minister in parish, diocesan, higher education, seminary, healthcare, prison and Catholic non-profit ministries, according to an announcement.

The theme of the event is “Joy on the Journey: Serve. Collaborate. Dream.” The keynote speakers will include Paulist Father Ricky Manalo, an adjunct faculty member at Santa Clara University, and Kerry Robinson, founding executive director of the National Leadership Roundtable.

A pre-conference, to discuss “national certification standards and competencies,” will take place May 30-31, the announcement said.

The cost of both the pre-conference and conference is $399 for NALM members, $449 for non members and $229 for students. The cost of the conference only is $299 for members, $349 for non members and $149 for students.

The cost of the pre-conference is $249 for members, $299 for non members and $149 for students. Members are eligible for a $50 discount through March 31.
