John Paul II Academy will host ‘Prevent Event’ March 27

John Paul II Academy at 3525 Goldsmith Lane is hosting a day of safety tips called the “John Paul II Academy Prevent Event.”

It will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 27 at the St. Pius X Church Community Center.

Information will be presented on fire safety, summer camps, first aid, nutrition, martial arts, car seat safety and other topics. There also will be a Red Cross blood drive during the event.

The day’s activities are being sponsored by the American Red Cross, Kosair Children’s Hospital, Baptist Hospital East, the Jewish Community Center, YMCA of Greater Louisville, Mortensen Dental, Hwangs Martial Arts, the Hikes Point Fire Department, the Little Clinic, Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky and the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health.
