Assumption hires new president; Elaine Salvo to retire June 30

Assumption High School announced the appointment of a new president, Mary Lang, last week. The appointment takes effect on July 1.

Lang succeeds Elaine Salvo, who is retiring after 34 years of service at Assumption.

Lang is an attorney and has served as the executive director of the Bloomington, Ind., Meals on Wheels program. She is actively involved in her parish in Bloomington, serving as president of the parish school commission. She is also a board member of the YMCA Northwest Council.
