Youth Events

Bayley and Christa Brutscher, both seniors at Holy Cross High School, hosted an appreciation dinner at the Ronald McDonald House Feb. 22 for people who have donated to several collection drives the siblings organized.

The sisters, who attend St. Peter the Apostle Church, chose to partner with the Ronald McDonald House for their senior service project because of their interest in helping sick children.

They held several drives to collect items for the charity. One collected holiday items needed at the house, another collected cleaning supplies and the last collected pull tabs from soft-drink cans to raise funds for the charity. As part of the project, the students could not use their school for the drive so the owners of Vintage
Printing Co. allowed the girls to collect items at their business.

At the Feb. 22 dinner, the sisters cooked a meal for the families staying in the house and presented the final collection to the charity’s staff.
