World Day of Prayer ecumenical service will be March 8

St. Paul Church, 6901 Dixie Highway, will host the World Day of Prayer service on March 8. Registration is at 10 a.m. followed by the service at 10:30 a.m.

The ecumenical prayer service — which will draw people from churches around the area — will focus on the theme “Streams in the Desert.” The theme was prepared by the World Prayer Day participants in Egypt.

The program will include a reenactment of the “woman at the well” story from Scripture and participants will learn about food, customs and clothing of Egypt.

Music will be provided by music minister, Anthony Ransom.

The service is free and open to the public, but donations for Dare to Care are requested.
