Workshops will examine revised Spanish translation of Roman Missal

The Archdiocese of Louisville will host a workshop on the Misal Romano — the Spanish translation of the third edition of the Roman Missal — May 16 at the Flaget Center, 1935 Lewiston Drive.

Workshops will be held around the country to examine the Misal Romano for use in the United States. This marks the first time dioceses in the U.S. have their own Spanish-language edition of the Roman Missal. The sessions aim to “equip clergy, lay leaders and pastoral musicians with resources to aid parish instruction,” a news release said.

Priests, deacons, musicians, music directors, members of diocesan worship committees, staff members of Hispanic ministry offices, multicultural offices, catechists, parish worship committees and lay leaders are invited to attend.

An afternoon session for clergy and lay leaders will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and an evening session for musicians will be from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The cost is $35. Register at www.fdlc.org/misalworkshops.
