Winners of the Vocations Essay Contest sponsored by the Serra Club of Louisville, which promotes vocations, and the Archdiocese of Louisville Vocation Office have been announced.
- In the seventh- and eighth-grade division, Ryan Baldwin, an eighth-grader at St. Martha School, won first place; Helene Senn, also an eighth-grader at St. Martha won second place; and Matthew Dyer, a seventh-grader at St. James School in Elizabethtown, Ky., won third place.
- In the fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade division, sixth-graders Natalie Shaw, Natalie Williams and Abbie Kienzle won first, second and third place respectively. All three students attend St. James in Elizabethtown.
The first-place winners received a $100 cash prize, a certificate and were recognized at a luncheon Nov. 16 at The Bistro on the Masonic Homes’ campus.
