Violins of Hope Event to be held in Louisville Oct. 22

“Repairing the World Through Music and Story: An Interfaith Evening of Healing and Hope” will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. on Oct. 22 at the Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 S. Fifth Street.

“Violins of Hope” is a touring exhibition that provides and opportunity for learning and reflection through restored violins that survived the Holocaust. Twelve of the violins will be on display at this concert and exhibit, which is hosted by the Jewish Federation of Louisville and the Center for Interfaith Relations.

This free event will feature Grammy award-winning violinist Johnny Gandelsmann, and will be comprised of stories, prayers and music meant to evoke healing, restoration, peace and hope.

Isabella Christensen will also play a Violin of Hope during the 9:30 a.m. Mass at the Cathedral on Oct. 20.
