Trafficking prayer service will be held

Women religious, associates and others will gather April 28 at 4:30 p.m. in Jefferson Square Park, 6th and Jefferson streets, for a public prayer service remembering victims of human trafficking “who are in greater demand during large sporting events” such as the Kentucky Derby, a news release from People Against Trafficking Humans (PATH) Coalition of Kentucky said.

While human trafficking occurs daily in Louisville, the release said, events such as the Derby and the NCAA tournament increase the demand for this activity.

All are welcome to attend the prayer service. The PATH group has also sponsored a billboard on the corner of Sixth
Street and Muhammad Ali Boulevard
