‘Theology on Third’ programs to begin in Bardstown, Ky.

The Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral has launched a new program for families called “Theology on Third,” a reference to the program’s location on Third Street in Bardstown, Ky.

The first in the series of “Theology on Third” programs will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 25 at Kreso’s Restaurant, 218 N. Third St. in Bardstown, and will feature Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz. The archbishop will discuss “Marriage and Family in Today’s American Culture.”

According to a news release from the parish, the archbishop will lead a “night of theological discussion … on living the sacrament of marriage, and on family faith issues within our secular culture.”

“As the Catholic Church begins the ‘Year of Faith,’ ” people can “learn about the necessity of strong marriages and families as the solid foundation for growth in faith,” the news release said.
