The spiritual lives of dying people will be focus of Oct. 2 presentation

“The Spiritual Lives of Dying People: Testimonies of Hope and Courage” will be presented by Father Paul Scaglione at 7 p.m. Oct. 2 in St. Agnes Church’s Aloysius Hall, 1920 Newburg Road.

Father Scaglione, a retired pastor of several area parishes, will discuss his four decades of ministry to people who are terminally and chronically ill.

An announcement about the event said, “Participants will also glean insights into how they might approach their own deaths or care for others who are in the midst of making the last journey of life.”

October is Respect Life Month, when the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops urges Catholics to pay particular attention to life issues. The presentation at St. Agnes is the first of numerous programs hosted or promoted by the Family Ministries Office in October.
