Students win college-based National Merit scholarships

Twelve students in Archdiocese of Louisville Catholic high schools are recipients of College-Sponsored Merit Scholarships from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

  • Sacred Heart Academy’s Abigail Beck won the National Merit Belmont University Scholarship and Sarah Loheide won the National Merit University of Kentucky Scholarship. And Abigail Estes won the National Merit University of Chicago Scholarship.
  •  St. Xavier High School’s Tanner Passafiume won the National Merit Auburn University Scholarship; Liam Crooks won the National Merit Case Western Reserve University Scholarship; Garrett McGrady won the National Merit University of Louisville Scholarship; Jackson Keadle won the National Merit Centre College Scholarship; Marco Antonio Villa-Real Garcia won the National Merit Purdue University Scholarship and James Mikulec won the National Merit University of Kentucky Scholarship.
  •  Trinity High School’s Michael Hiestand won the National Merit University of Chicago Scholarship and Eric Sahli won the National Merit University of Alabama Scholarship.
