St. William Church, 1226 W. Oak St., will observe Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Day with an event entitled “We Must Keep Moving: Acting for Racial, Economic, Military and Environmental Justice,” Jan. 15 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the church.
The event will celebrate Dr. King’s legacy as well as serve as a “call to keep moving and place our energy and support behind the emergent Poor People’s Campaign,” said a statement from organizers.
The event is sponsored by a coalition of non-profit groups including Kentucky Interfaith Power and Light and St. William and the Sowers of Justice.
