St. Patrick Refugee Ministry will host fundraising dinner March 30

The St. Patrick Refugee Ministry at St. Patrick Church will hold a fundraising dinner March 30 in the parish’s Schindler Hall, 1000 N. Beckley Station Road.

The event titled “Share the Journey” will be held in partnership with Catholic Charities of Louisville. Cocktails begin at 6 p.m. and dinner will be at 7 p.m. There will be a cash bar.

Aimee Zaring, a local author who published a recipe book called “Flavors From Home” will be signing books. A former refugee will also provide a reflection and women who make jewelry and crafts at Beaded Treasures will be present to sell their goods.

Tickets are $45 per person or $320 for a table of eight.

Proceeds from this event will benefit Common Table, a culinary arts training program at Catholic Charities that provides certified culinary and job-skills training to refugees and other unemployed or underemployed individuals. Common Table will also cater the event.
