St. Mary’s Center’s ‘Golf Scramble’ to be held Aug. 4

St. Mary’s Center, which provides adult day training, teen after school services and athletic activities to 150 intellectually and developmentally challenged teens and adults, is holding its 18th annual Golf Scramble and Rock Drop Aug. 4 at Wildwood Country Club, 5000 Bardstown Road.

The first session will begin at 7 a.m. with breakfast and a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start followed by lunch at noon. An afternoon session will begin after the luncheon and the shotgun start for that session will be at 1:30 p.m.

The charity golf outing entry fee is $100 per person and the cost includes greens fees, cart fees, range balls, breakfast, lunch, gifts and prizes. The “Rock Drop” will take place at 1 p.m. and involves golf balls (the “rocks”) being dropped from a helicopter onto a pre-cut golf hole. If your ball goes in the hole and stays there, you win $12,000. “Rocks” can be purchased for $100 prior to and on the day of the event.
