St. John Center for Homeless Men is recruiting volunteers age 16 and over for the Redwing Shoe Giveaway that will take place at the Salvation Army, 911 S. Brook St., from Aug. 26-28.
Volunteers will serve in the following capacities:
• Aug. 25, 9 a.m. to noon: Unload trucks and sort shoes.
•Aug. 26-28, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Take tickets, manage the line, direct guests to the giveaway area and serve as runners to get the shoes.
Since the number of time slots available each day is limited, those who wish to volunteer must contact Jim Fulkerson at St. John Center at jfulkerson@stjohncenter.org or 398-3505 to be placed on the schedule.
