St. James to provide music for Bardstown Road Aglow

St. James Church, Bardstown Road at Edenside Avenue, will present an evening of music under the direction of worship and music director Phil Hines during the annual Bardstown Road Aglow event Dec. 1. from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Music will be provided by the St. James School Choir, the St. James Singers adult choir with brass, percussion and flute, the Louisville Trombone Ensemble of twenty trombone players, and the Bellarmine University Schola Cantorum. 

Guest organists who will play the church’s historic 1931 Pilcher pipe organ include Andrew Thuita, organist of St. Ignatius Martyr Church, and Dr. Janet Hamilton of Indiana University Southeast.

Refreshments will be served throughout the evening.  The music and refreshments are free and open to everyone. For more information, please call the parish at 451-1420.
