St. James academic team in top 12 nationally

RecordLogo-FThe Knowledge Masters academic team at St. James School in Elizabethtown, Ky., were among the four teams competing in the semi-finals of the ninth annual Junior National Academic Championship in Chicago June 13.

This achievement placed the St. James group among the top 12 academic teams in the nation, according to a statement from the school.

“The St. James Catholic Church community is extremely proud of our young students, who have shown great poise and academic excellence throughout the entire school year,” said Father Martin Linebach, pastor of St. James. “As one of the top academic teams in the nation, St. James continues to demonstrate that it is traditionally Catholic and progressively academic.”

Members of the team are: Tanner Bateman, Carson Ching, Matthew Dyer, Emerson Harner and Matthew Muse.
