St. James School in Elizabethtown, Ky., honored with ‘best of’ award

St. James School in Elizabethtown, Ky., has been honored with a 2017 Best of Elizabethtown Award in the Catholic regional school category.

Dominican Sister of St. Cecelia Marie Hannah, principal of St. James, said the school is “thrilled” with the recognition. “We work hard each day to build upon the 147-year tradition of providing a Catholic education in the Hardin County community,” said Sister Hannah. “Our educational tradition has had a positive effect on our community by producing many of our leaders as well as providing countless service activities to the region.”

The Elizabethtown Award Program annually honors “the achievements and accomplishments of local businesses,” said a statement from the program.
