St. James Church in Elizabethtown announces new endowment

St. James Church in Elizabethtown, Ky., announced last month a new way for individuals to support the parish in Hardin County. The St. James Catholic Church Endowment will help provide financial stability now and in the future, a news release from the parish said.

The endowment will allow donors to be a part of an “enduring legacy,” said Diane Logsdon, architect of the endowment. “All St. James parishioners can come together to contribute funds to the church, in any amount they can provide.”

Father Martin Linebach, pastor of St. James, said the parish is “blessed” to have so many parishioners who are committed to stewardship.

“Whether through time, talent or treasure, our church family always comes together to support St. James,” he said.

The endowment is administered by the Central Kentucky Community Foundation. Supporters can donate funds by visiting ckcf4people.org, or mailing checks made out to CKCF. Donations are eligible for the Endow Ky Tax Credit, which allows donors to receive a charitable deduction and 20 percent credit against state income taxes, up to $10,000.
