St. Gabriel youth held animal blessing

Young people at St. Gabriel Church have been studying Pope Francis’ encyclical on the environment and discussing why the pope’s message is important. In response to the pope’s call to care for creation, the young parishioners hosted an animal blessing at St. Gabriel.

The parish’s service group, “Kids Called to Serve,” also participated in a project in which old t-shirts were used to make toys for animals in the care of the Kentucky Humane Society.
