St. Francis of Assisi to host advocacy event March 10

St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1960 Bardstown Road, will host a night of advocacy activties for Catholic Charities of Louisville and Kentucky Refugee Ministries on March 10 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Activities will include making posters and writing letters to elected officials to advocate for and with refugees and immigrants.

The posters will be used at the seventh annual Refugee and Immigrant Day at the Capitol on March 17. Those who are unable to attend the event are still invited to make posters for others to use.

The letters will be delivered to lawmakers that day.

Markers and posters will be supplied, although participants may bring their own supplies if they wish. Contact information for state representatives will also be available.

Participants may stop in at any time during this family-friendly event.
