Ruthie Belza, a student at St. Francis of Assisi School, 1938 Alfresco Place, has been chosen to perform with the Dance Theatre of Harlem. Belza will perform in the ballet “Gloria” at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts on Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. “Gloria” will be the Dance Theatre of Harlem’s first public performance since 2004.
Belza also is a student at the Louisville Ballet School. She will dance in the school’s Brown-Forman “Nutcracker” for the third time.
