St. Bernard students to hold electronics recycling day

The eighth-grade class at St. Bernard School, 7500 Tangelo Drive, offer free electronics recycling on Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the school.

The class will be assisted by the Bluegrass E-cycle company, and bins for old recycled electronic materials will be placed in the front parking lot by the parish’s annex building.

Items that can be recycled are computers, servers, switches, circuit boards, telecom equipment IT equipment, monitors, UPS units, batteries, cables, phones, cords and satellite boxes.

The eighth graders will be on site to help carry and sort items into appropriate bins. While the event is free, donations to the eighth grade will be accepted to help fund their class trip to Chicago in May 2014.
