‘Spalding University School of Social Work Day’ proclaimed by mayor

Mayor Greg Fischer honored the Spalding University School of Social Work for its contributions to the community by signed a proclamation that deemed Nov. 21, 2019 as Spalding University School of Social Work Day in Louisville.

Twenty years ago, the first cohort of Spalding University’s Master of Social Work program graduated. Since then, “about 500 total master’s students have graduated from the program, and alumni have gone on to work in a range of social work settings, including schools, nonprofit organizations, hospitals and government offices that impact individuals, communities and policy at large,” according to an announcement from the school.
