Sister Marion Reardon, SCN, dies at 92

Sister of Charity of Nazareth Marion Reardon, formerly Sister Mary Fides, died at Nazareth Home on Dec. 26. She was 92 and had been a Sister of Charity of Nazareth (SCN) for 74 years.

Sister Reardon, a native of Brockton, Mass., served in elementary, secondary and collegiate education in Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, Massachusetts, Ohio and Maryland for 42 years. In the Archdiocese of Louisville, she served at Holy Family School and Presentation Academy. She also served at Spalding College, now Spalding University, from 1970 to 1986. She later served in community and social services and in the apostolate of prayer.

Survivors include her niece Kathleen Snyder of Crestview, Fla., and members of her religious community.

Visitation will be at 4 p.m. at St. Vincent Church in Nazareth, Ky., on Jan. 5. There will be a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Jan. 6 at St. Vincent at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial in Nazareth Cemetery.
