Sister Driscoll is honored by House of Ruth

Sister of Charity of Nazareth Julie Driscoll was honored last month by House of Ruth, an organization that serves families affected by HIV/AIDS.

Sister Driscoll received the charity’s inaugural Sister Julie Driscoll Award for Outstanding AIDS Advocacy and Service. It will be awarded annually to a local individual “who has demonstrated exemplary advocacy and services to benefit those living with HIV/AIDS,” according to a message from the charity’s executive director, Lisa Sutton.

“We chose Sister Julie to honor and to name the award after because of her service to those with HIV/AIDS locally over the past two decades,” Sutton said.
Sister Driscoll became the charity’s first executive director in 1993.
