Sister Clarence Marie Luckett, a teacher, dies at 92

Ursuline Sister of Mount St. Joseph Clarence Marie Luckett died Feb. 14 at Mount St. Joseph in Maple Mount, Ky. She was 92 and in her 72nd year of religious life.

Sister Luckett, a native of Greenbrier, Ky., ministered as a teacher at the old St. Ignatius School and in the Diocese of Owensboro. She also served in outreach at St. Boniface Convent in Louisville. 

For more than four decades, Sister Luckett made quilts to support her Ursuline community.

She is survived by her brother, Benjamin Luckett of Louisville; nieces and nephews; and members of her religious community.

Visitation will be Feb. 16 at 4 p.m. at Mount St. Joseph with a wake service at 6:30 p.m.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Mount St. Joseph.
