Shively Area Ministries receives grant from Women 4 Women

Shively Area Ministries, a community ministry supported by area churches, announced late last month that it received a grant to help its clients.

According to a media release from the ministry, Women 4 Women awarded a $15,000 grant to respond to people in poverty and crisis.

The funds will provide emergency assistance with rent, utilities and food. And it will support education and empowerment programs, including cooking classes, vouchers for fresh produce and life-skills coaching, the announcement said.

Women 4 Women is a Louisville-based non-profit that aims to empower women.
