Scouts receive Eagle rank

Nick Craven, a junior at Trinity High School, and Christopher Early, a sophomore at St. Xavier High School, received the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Both young men are members of Troop 243 at St. John Paul II Church.

Craven’s Eagle Scout Leadership Project consisted of building six benches for the Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve in Goshen, Ky.

For his Eagle Scout Leadership Project, Early helped his troop restore an Oldham County cemetery. The troop removed overgrown weeds and brush, planted grass seeds, made a new cemetery sign and repaired the fence.
